Street Meat

Recently, I've been eating a lot of street food. And it has been excellent...
Everywhere you go in this city, you can find some delicious and incredibly inexpensive food on the side of the street. You'll often find dumplings, skewered meats/vegetables, and noodle dishes readily available. Today, I filled up my stomach for both lunch and dinner on a budget of only $2 USD. That is ridiculous, and it is unbelievable how delicious most of the food is. It's often spicy, but the spices are growing on me.
I am very much appreciating the services of the wonderful Chinese people who cook up these meals on the side of the street. They have become my saviors. I almost feel bad paying nearly nothing for these meals, but obviously being a cheap college student, I don't feel bad at all ;-)
I'm beginning to get more and more adventurous with what I will try out, but there are many things that scare me off quite easily. Anything with large prickers coming out of it is not going anywhere near my mouth :-) I tend to stay away from the seafood as well, it's just better and probably safer in the restaurants, ya know. Chicken, pork, sausage, cucumbers, dumplings, noodles, potatoes...all seem to be safe and fantastic.
