- Well, I'm doing this internship in Shanghai to fulfill a few things: 1) It's required for my major, 2) It's been a dream that I've had since I first went abroad in high school, and 3) I've been unsuccessfully trying to teach myself Mandarin for the past four years. I've wanted to travel to China for quite some time now, and this is a very exciting experience for me.
